Where will this course lead?
This course is aimed at those wishing to expand their career as an electrician. It provides an up to date knowledge of the requirements specified in the current 17th edition of the wiring regulations.
What will I study?
The contents and interpretation of all parts of the current regulations
Parts 1-7
Appendices 1-15
How will this course be delivered?
This course is theoretical knowledge taught in the classroom over a period of 8 weeks, in 3 hour sessions.
What qualifications will I get?
Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671 June 2008)
How will I be assessed?
By a 60 question Multi-choice 2 hours on line exam
How do I get a place on the course?
By an individual interview of prior knowledge/training and experience, as these are essential, by the course tutor
What are the entry requirements?
Either 4 GCSE passes at Grade A-C to include Maths and Science, or a Level 2 Diploma in a relevant level 2 engineering programme at Merit or Distinction, also a good reference or latest school report and a successful interview.
