Where will this course lead?
This course is ideal for you if you are working in accountancy or finance or want to work in accountancy or finance. You will have completed level 3 of AAT or equivalent.

Plus 2 units from these 4 optional units:
Credit Management and Control

Lessons will involve workshops, lectures, group work, directed study, computer packages, tutorials and individual work.

Diploma in Accounting (QCF)
How will I be assessed?
To pass this qualification you will complete online exams and a project.

Places are offered by interviews only. It may be possible to conduct some interviews over the telephone depending upon your existing qualifications and experience.

What else do I need to know?
The course runs from September to June for the core units. Optional units are then usually completed September to November in the following year. Please note it may be possible for some students to complete in one year by completing options alongside core units. Please discuss this aspect with a tutor prior to enrolment.
A minimum of 90% attendance is expected.

What can I do after this course?
Students who are successful on this course can gain suitable positions in an accounting / financial environment or gain promotion within their organisation.
Some students choose to continue studying and gain exemptions from Accountancy bodies to include ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy), ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales).
