- An arts complex incorporating a 360 seat theatre, exhibition space, a library, café and tourist office.
- Birmingham International Airport, which is just a 15 minute journey from our Blossomfield campus.
- And with entertainment venues like the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) you’ll be spoilt for choice with live events running throughout the year including The Clothes Show, The Good Food Show and countless music concerts.
Birmingham - Britain's second largest city with a population of 1 million is about 7 miles from Solihull Town Centre on many direct rail and bus routes. If you want to enter the hustle and bustle of city life you'll find everything you need here.
- A huge variety of shops including the famous Bullring Shopping Centre which has over 160 shops to choose from.
- Many nightspots including Brindley Place which features bars and restaurants overlooking an area of Birmingham's canal basin.
- Broad Street - the centre of Birmingham's nightlife.......and the most likely area of mainstream bars to offer student clubnights and discounts. Bar Risa, Lloyd's No 1, and Revolution Vodka Bar being some of the most popular amongst students.
- Restaurants are vastly available in many cuisines throughout the whole of Birmingham City Centre.
- The National Exhibition Centre (NEC), The National Indoor Arena (NIA) and Birmingham Carling Academy International Convention Centre where you can see famous bands play live gigs.
- The Custard Factory - a complex mixing the historic with the funky, featuring individual shops, a vegetarian restaurant, art spaces, a nightclub and a vintage clothing market.
- Live comedy is staged at the Glee Club and Jongleurs both in the centre of town.
- Theatre is available at Birmingham's 3 main venues - Birmingham Hippodrome, Birmingham Rep and the Alexandra Theatre as well as at The Drum, The MAC and The Crescent Theater.
- Birmingham also boasts the famous Jewellery Quarter where 50% of England's jewellery is made and the Chinese quarter which offers many restaurants as well as Chinese herbal shops and a Chinese supermarket.
- And it shouldn't be forgotten that Birmingham is home to one of the country's largest chocolate factories, Cadbury World in Bourneville - definitely worth a visit if you have a passion for chocolate!
