Where will this course lead?
This course is ideal for students aged 19 or over who wish to pursue a career in science based professions e.g. Physiotherapy, Nursing, Radiography, Dietetics, Biomedical and Biological Sciences.
This course is ideal for you if you left school some years ago and possibly have few formal science qualifications and/or experience of working in the science industry.

Anatomy and Physiology
Molecular Biology
Chemical and Physical Science
Maths (level 2)
English/Study Skills(level 2)
How will this course be delivered?
The course involves lectures and practical work.
What qualifications will I get?
Access to Higher Education Diploma: Science - Solihull College
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through assignments, laboratory-based projects and written exams.
How do I get a place on the course?
Places are offered after an interview and diagnostic tests.
What are the entry requirements?
No specific qualifications are required. However, you will need to demonstrate your ability and commitment and be able to show that you have the appropriate science background/experiences that will allow you to be successful on a level 3 science programme. Ideally, you should have level 2 science qualifications.

What else do I need to know?
Preparation for a successful diagnostic test would be supportive studying of Level 2 Science and Level 1 & 2 Maths.

What can I do after this course?
Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress onto a degree in a science based subject.
