With a host of animals living on site including meerkats, reptiles, donkeys and birds to name a few, studying Animal Care at Solihull College will provide you with the hands on experience you’ll need to start your exciting career.
The new Land Based Centre encompasses a three-storey building, complete with specialist rooms to accommodate our diverse animal family including aviary birds, parrots, chickens, meerkats and rabbits. In addition, a large range of exotics including lizards, snakes, tortoises, fish and turtles are also enjoying life in our specially designed reptile habitats.
Two external barns and paddocks have also been built to house our larger animals of goats and donkeys. The centre has been thoughtfully designed to provide first-class and practical facilities for students on our Animal Care, Animal Management, Veterinary Nursing, Land based studies and Horticulture programmes.
We are the only College within the local area boasting these enviable courses and amenities, attracting students from across the West Midlands and Warwickshire regions including Birmingham and Coventry.
