Creative minds will always be in demand and your choice of careers stretches as far as your imagination. Our new, purpose-built Visual and Performing Arts block will provide state-of-the-art facilities to allow you to express your talent and uncover your potential.
Courses are drawn from different areas – fine art, graphic design, photography, textiles and general art and design – and are studied at various levels, as well as Higher Education qualifications. You could go on to a degree or look for work, possibly with a fashion house, advertising agency, software developer or as a self-employed artist. Our excellent links with local employers mean that placements are regularly arranged at design studios, advertising agencies, the NEC and the Solihull Arts Complex.
The Art & Design Careers Event will take place in our brand new Visual and Performing Arts block. The session will include an introduction to Art & Design at Solihull College and an overview of the courses available. Course leaders from Graphic Design, Fine Art, Photography and Textiles will be available in their studios to discuss their courses and career progression in greater depth. The event will also provide you with an insight into the Higher Education opportunities in Art & Design at Solihull College and other universities.
