Training Quality Standard (TQS)
Solihull College has achieved the Training Quality Standard in recognition of our commitment to delivering quality training and development solutions for employers.
TQS awards follows extensive assessment and certification. It is an achievement which organisations aspire to and one which Solihull College is justly proud of.
The award confirms Solihull College Employer Services’ reputation as one of the leading business training and management training providers in the Birmingham, West Midlands and Warwickshire region.
Best Business Awards
Solihull College scores triumph in the 2009 Best Business Awards.
The College has been successful in not just being nominated but winning the “Best Public Sector Communications” category in this year’s campaign.
The prestigious awards look to identify successful organisations and highlight good practice both in the public and private sector.
Customer Service Excellence
Solihull College is proud to have been awarded the Customer Service Excellence award, the UK Government's national standard of customer service excellence.
As a Customer Service Excellence award winner we have shown that we put our customers first and go that extra mile.

- Birmingham Race Action Partnership Award, presented for positive teaching of equality and diversity issues throughout our Hair and Beauty programmes.
Achievements
Congratulations should also go to our Director of Community and Skills for Life, Gill Hutchings, who has had her exceptional contributions to Adult Skills for Life acknowledged with an MBE from the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Equally pleasing is the recognition our students have begun to receive at national level. Notably one of our students Mark Brookes was Highly Commended for the Personal Achiever of the Year award at the prestigious National Apprenticeship Awards 2008.
Trade Union Studies lecturer Nick Nicholls from the College, was presented with a Life Changer's Award which recognised his commitment to adult education.
