Beauty students take the Clothes Show by storm
A group of Beauty Therapy students at Solihull College were made-up when they were asked to take part in this year’s Clothes Show Live.
The group of girls proved to be very popular at the NEC event as they spent the week pampering hundreds of tired out shoppers.
Working on the prestigious Bourjois stand, they offered make-overs, manicures and make-up advice.
Manicurist in training Sasha Irvine said: “We were all really pleased to be asked to take part in such a big event. We’ve been busy all week but it’s been worth it, the whole thing has been such an enjoyable experience. It’s given me an insight into what working in the beauty industry is actually like and I hope I get the chance to do it again next year.”
Yvonne Malpass Head of Hair and Beauty at the College said: “I’m really proud of the girls, this is such a busy event but they’ve taken everything in their stride and done an excellent job. They’ve also gained some invaluable experience which will put them in good stead for when they leave College.”
Solihull College offers a range of Beauty Therapy courses, from introductory programmes through to advanced.
