How will this course be delivered?

The course will be delivered within a commercial salon.
Our Beauty therapy facilities consist of 3 state of the art beauty salons with interactive whiteboards, you will be using salon exclusive products. The qualification will include external multiple choice exams; portfolio building; written and practical assessments including anatomy and physiology. There will be a large percentage of home study; estimated at six hours per week.

What qualifications will I get?

NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy (General) (QCF)

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be ongoing and it is in a range of different tasks, half the course will involve practical assignments assessed within our college commercial salons, and the other half will involve assignments, external multiple choice exams; course work and a portfolio.

How do I get a place on the course?

A successful interview will be required.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need D grade English language
A satisfactory reference
A satisfactory school report if coming from school

What else do I need to know?

The course will run at our Blossomfield and Woodlands Campus. Trips and external training will be offered subject to additional costs.
A minimum of 85% attendance is needed to complete the course, however 100% is expected.

Enhancement activities e.g. Dermalogica product training; external speakers and demonstration.

You will need to come equipped with beauty therapy tools/equipment.

You will not be required to bring in electrical equipment the college will supply.
