This course will help the student prepare for the following Microsoft Certified Professional exam: 70-290: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment:
Students who satisfy the minimum pass level, for the above vendor exam(s), as defined by Microsoft at the time of taking the online exam, will be awarded the following:-
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification Managing & Maintaining a MS Windows Server 2003 environment
And counts as credit toward the following certification(s):
Microsoft Certified Administrator (MCSA)

This course is available to study in daytime or evening sessions.

How will I be assessed?
There is no formal examination required; however students may take the external Microsoft examination, typically three weeks from end of course.

Examinations must be taken at our in-house Authorised Prometric testing centre (APTC) at Specialist IT Training. APTC Site code GB3K.
The course includes continual assessments.

What are the entry requirements?
This course is appropriate for individuals employed as or seeking a position as a systems administrator or engineer. This course is also appropriate for individuals currently supporting a competitive platform who want to enhance their job skills on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 networking.
The entry criteria for this course include individuals who are:
IT professionals and new to Windows Server 2003 network implementation.
Preparing for the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification.
Preparing for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
Before attending this course, students 19+ years, should have:
CompTIA A+; Network+; Microsoft Desktop Technician certification, MTA, or equivalent knowledge and skills. In addition candidates are encouraged to have some work experience in network support or administration.
Or M2276 Implementing Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network hosts.
Students under 19 years, must have: MCDST, CompTIA Network+ certification and 3 GCSE's at grade C or above, including Maths and English or equivalent.
