Staff from local secondary school re-visit their math skills with Solihull College.
More than 15 support staff at CTC Kinghurst Academy have successfully completed a Level Two Numeracy Qualification through the College’s Skills for Life programme – which aims to help adults aged 19 and over enhance the skills they use in everyday life.
After achieveing a 100% pass rate, the group are now looking to take part in a range of other personal development courses available through the programme such as IT and Literacy.
Tracy Kimberley, CTC Vice Principal, who contacted the College in search of training is delighted with the results: “The collaboration between CTC and Solihull College has produced an inspiring motivational opportunity for staff to study various qualifications. The results at the end of the day have been highly successful as have the effects on staff moral and confidence”
Ann Jones, Principal of CTC is also pleased with the outcome: "We have always placed great value on the benefits of effective continuous personal development for teaching and non-teaching staff. When we found out about the Skills for Life courses available at the College, it seemed an opportunity too good to miss. Courses provided by the College are of high quality and the impact on our staff has been considerable, enabling us to invest substantially in our excellent staff".
