The stylish area now boasts a Costa Coffee shop and deli bar, food court serving a selection of traditional and healthy options as well as a fully stocked snack shop. 18 year old Hospitality Apprentice, Ema Allcock, served celebratory cup cakes to the Chief Executive of Redcliffe, Clive Stone, and College Principal Brenda Sheils as they met to toast to the new look refectory. The rest of the redevelopment project – which when complete will provide students with high quality facilities including a new visual arts, media and performing arts block complete with large theatre as well as new class rooms and modern workshops, is set to be finished by early 2011. The College will continue to work with Redcliffe – which manages the catering for more than 30 high profile clients across the West Midlands, to maintain and develop the first class catering services on offer at both its Blossomfield and Woodlands campus. College Principal, Brenda Sheils is delighted with the new refectory: “The new refectory and café area has exceeded our expectations and will provide a social heart for the College. The completion of this area marks yet another milestone in our redevelopment project and we hope that students, staff and visitors will enjoy the first class services on offer to them.” Clive Stone, Chief Executive of Redcliffe Catering added “our experience within the further education sector is extensive and provides us with a great understanding. It really is all about working in partnership with Solihull College to meet the aspirations of students and the objectives of the college. We are very pleased with the new look refectory. Redcliffe are passionate about food and quality of service delivery. |
