This course is ideal for you if you if you want to:
- use helping skills in everyday life and work
- develop self awareness when helping others
- develop your listening and communication skills for helping relationships
- assist others effectively in a helping role

Managing the helping relationship
How will this course be delivered?
The course runs each term on a Tuesday morning or evening.
The course will also be held in outreach centres in North Solihull during the autumn and summer terms.
What qualifications will I get?
Award in Helping Skills (QCF)
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through:
- building a portfolio consisting of a reflective journal, records of skills
practice, data concerning referral agencies and a personal action plan.
In order to pass the course you must be successful in both as well as achieving a minimum of 80% attendance.
