SOCIAL STUDIES

If you’re looking to get into recruitment, teaching, local government, the health service, social services or the prison service to name just a few then the BA (Hons) in Social Studies will help get you there.

Solihull College & University Centre are proud to work in partnership with the University of Warwick to offer you the chance to gain this qualification by studying two years here followed by two years at the university.

Aimed specifically at those who have been out of education for some years, the degree can help set you up for employment or further study such as the MA in Social Work or a Teacher Training qualification.

We’ve got great links with universities across Warwickshire and the West Midlands including Birmingham and Coventry so if you plan to progress onto a top up degree course after your studies here, we can help you find the perfect place to do so.

Solihull College & University Centre is delighted to announce a new partnership degree opportunity with Newman University. The degree is over a three year period and designed specifically for people who have a passion for youth and community work

Studying Youth and Community Work at Newman and Solihull College will not only enable you to gain professional Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) recognition, which you require to practice as a youth worker in the UK, but you also get to choose an optional pathway in a practice-based setting.
