Health and social care

Our Health and Social Care Apprenticeships can lead to a range of rewarding careers so choose to study with Solihull College and you'll soon be helping others lead a better way of life.

As a Social Care apprentice you'll learn how to help people with a particular need, such as the elderly or people with learning disabilities. If you choose to be a Health Care apprentice you could find yourself working in hospitals, the community or private clinics to support doctors and nurses or patients in their own homes.

After completing the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship you'll be able to go directly into employment in roles such as a healthcare assistant, support worker or personal care assistant, plus many more.

If you decide to progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship you'll gain greater responsibility in your role, which could be anything from working as a senior healthcare assistant, community support worker or outreach development officer, amongst others.

Completion of the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship will stand you in good stead for progression onto a Higher Education course at Solihull College, including the HNC/HND in Health & Social Care or Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care with Oxford Brookes University.

We've helped place hundreds of apprentices in a variety of health and social care settings across the West Midlands and Warwickshire and our apprentice success rates continue to soar above the national average. So whether you live in Solihull, Birmingham, Coventry or further afield, apply for an Apprenticeship with us and start your journey to success.
