Where will this course lead?

Achieving the Extended Level 3 Diploma will expand your already wide range of employment opportunities within the business sector, using additional skills gained from further modules studied in relation to business, administration, marketing, finance etc.

Upon completion, you will be eligible to apply for Degree courses, Higher National Diplomas or a professional course.

What will I study?

A variety of units related to business including:

- Marketing
- Finance
- Human resources
- Production and the business environment

Along with thses you will study specific units to develop your business and personal skills which will help you with employability, organisation, communication and planning.

How will this course be delivered?

This qualification is ideally suited to students wishing to study Business in a practical 'hands on' way. The course is delivered by a combination of formal taught lessons, workshops, tutorials, group activities in a classroom based environment.

What qualifications will I get?

How will I be assessed?

In a variety of ways including presentations, written reports, exhibitions, role plays, group activities, working for outside employers, video and animation technology and in some situations you will required to produce work in a time constrained way.

How do I get a place on the course?

Places are offered by interview with the course tutors.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need 5 GCSE's at C/4 grade or above which must include maths and English. You will be interviewed by a member of the course team and you will be expected to bring a reference.

What else do I need to know?

You need to bring pen, notebooks and folders to every lesson. It is expected that you will bring a memory stick to save and back up your work.

You will need to pay £45 which is a contribution to participating in study visits. You will need to buy appropriate stationary and text books to help you study.

Good levels of English and Maths are important for your success in your course, your chosen vocation and life. Throughout your course you will continue to develop your English and Maths skills in your vocational classes.

If you haven't achieved an A*/9 - C/4 grade in English or Maths at GCSE, or a Level 2 Functional Skill, you will also be working towards a qualification in English or Maths at a level that will enable you to progress towards these grades.

What can I do after this course?

The majority of students who are successful on this course progress to study higher education at university, however there are opportunities to find employment in a variety of business organisations.
