Where will this course lead?

This course is ideal for you if you have completed a L2 Diploma in Plastering. It will build on your knowledge and develop your practical skills to an industry recognised level.

What will I study?

During the course you will study the following modules:

- Health & Safety
- Complex curved surfaces
- External Render finishes
- Planning and communication
- Further developing practical skills.
- Underpinning Knowledge & Good practice

Maths, English and IT will be an important part of your course. You will continue to develop these skills and may work towards a qualification at an appropriate level.

How will this course be delivered?

Half of this course involves practical assignments in the Plastering workshop and the other half in the classroom. The Plastering facilities consist of dedicated, industry standard training workshops and classrooms.

What qualifications will I get?

Level 3 Diploma in Plastering (Solid)

How will I be assessed?

To pass this course you will have to successfully complete all practical and theory assessments and pass an on line end test. All assessments are carried out by qualified assessors to the required qualification standard.

How do I get a place on the course?

Apply on line at or at Student Services either at the Blossomfield Road or Woodlands Campus.

If successful, places are offered after interview and an assessment in Maths & English.

What are the entry requirements?

Level 2 Diploma in Plastering and a suitable reference and interview.

If you have a Learning Difficulty or Disability please let us know when you apply. You will be offered support in your interview. If you need help completing your application we can help with this too.

What else do I need to know?

You will be required to provide safety boots and appropriate clothes to wear in the workshop.

What can I do after this course?

If you successfully pass this course you can apply to progress on to the NVQ 3 in Plastering.

Learners who have a high standard of attendance and have demonstrated a positive attitude can be recommended for any available apprenticeships.
