Where will this course lead?
This qualification is for individuals who are already working in the health and fitness industry as Personal Trainers and wish to run sessions (Individual/Group) for ante/post natal participants.
What will I study?
Principles of Ante/Post Natal Exercise (covering Anatomy and Physiology)
Practical Ante/Post Natal Exercise
How will this course be delivered?
Approximately half of the course is delivered in the classroom to explore the principles of ante and post natal exercise. The remaining part of the course is spent in the college's well equipped gym and studio exploring the practical aspects of delivering an exercise session to ante and post natal clients.
What qualifications will I get?
Award in Instructing Physical Activity for Ante/Post Natal Exercise
How will I be assessed?
Written theory test.
Case Study.
Practical Assessment
How do I get a place on the course?
Applications should be made via the Exercise and Fitness Application Pack available from the College Call Centre. You will then be invited in for an interview and screening test for the course you have chosen.
What are the entry requirements?
Applicants MUST have a Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualification or Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor qualification.
Applicants should have a keen interest in using the gym on a regular basis.
Good communication skills are essential.
Applicants must be 18 years old to join the course.

What else do I need to know?
Successful applicants will be required to purchase a course manual.
Successful applicants are also expected to wear appropriate exercise clothing in the gym.

What can I do after this course?
You will be able to begin teaching exercise sessions to ante and post natal clients in the health and fitness environment.
