EARLY YEARS & CHILDHOOD STUDIES

This Apprenticeship is ideal if you want to work with children and support their learning and development, ensuring they are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished.

On the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship you’ll work under supervision in roles such as a nursery assistant, playgroup assistant or assistant youth support worker.

If you choose to progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship you’ll use your own initiative to plan and organise your own work in the role of a nursery nurse or playgroup leader, amongst others.

Both programmes allow you to progress within this rewarding sector, whether it’s continuing your studies or going directly into employment.

Solihull College offers a range of higher level qualifications in Early Years and Childhood Studies including the HNC/HND Advanced Practice in Work with Children & Families, Foundation Degree in Early Years or BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies, awarded by Oxford Brookes University.

We’ve helped place hundreds of apprentices in nurseries, playgroups and other settings across the West Midlands and Warwickshire and our apprentice success rates continue to soar above the national average.
