The building blocks for a rewarding career in teaching, nursing and social work, or as a nursery nurse or manager, private nanny, childminder…
The best possible start in life for children depends a great deal on those who work with them. Solihull College opens up a huge range of opportunities for you to step up and realise your potential. With the right balance between study and hands-on experience, we’ll get your career off to a perfect start too.
You’ll leave with what you need to work with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments, including teaching, nursing or social work. Our courses feature theory, policy and practice, as well as work-based learning through placements in the education and childcare sectors. There are plenty of Higher Education opportunities too. Established links with schools, nurseries, children’s centres and out-of-school care providers will literally bring your learning to life.
Come along to the Early Years Careers Event which aims to provide a taster to the wealth of careers within the Early Years sector. There will be a range of presentations and practical activities to further your knowledge about the courses available at Solihull College and the careers on offer after completion of your studies.
The event will also host professionals including Health Visitors, Learning Support Staff, Primary School Teachers, Nursery Managers and Nursery Nurses who will provide advice and guidance about your career options. Wolverhampton University will also be in attendance to advise on the academic progression routes and their Higher Education links with the College.
Call 0121 678 7000 to book your place at the Early Years Careers Event. All places must be booked in advance.
