Festive fun to help furry friends
From Santa’s elves to snowmen, Solihull College gets into the spirit of Christmas to raise money for animal charities.
Staff and students from the College’s Animal Care Centre donned their favourite festive outfits for a day in a bid to raise money for a local rabbit rescue charity, Fat Fluffs, and a local retired greyhound trust, Daybreaks Kennels.
More thn £120.00 has been raised and will be donated to the charities to buy toys and treats for animals in their care this Christmas.
One of the College’s Animal Care Lecturers, Catherine White, turned snowman for the day: “It’s been great to see everyone getting into the Christmas spirit to raise money for such a worthy cause. We hope that the money raised will go some way to help care for the hundreds of animals in care this Christmas, thank you to everyone who donated.”
The College offers a range of Animal Care courses from Level One programmes, right through to University Level qualifications.
