Introduction:
First Aid is that initial assistance offered to an individual, should they be injured or suddenly become ill.
The person who provides this help is a First Aider.
Our First Aid courses will prepare you for the challenge of being a First Aider. As well as the practical side of First Aid, we will prepare you emotionally and psychologically for the role. Successful completion of our course will strengthen your skills and enhance your confidence.
Whether you need to qualify as a First Aider to meet legal requirements in your workplace or you just have an interest and want to be prepared and able should the need arise, Solihull College’s First Aid trainers will be able to help.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is appropriate for nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone requiring a basic introduction to First Aid. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience and is ideal for lower risk businesses, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course is run over one day (09.30 – 16.30) and includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boost a candidate's confidence.
