Where will this course lead?
This course is ideal for those wishing to learn the basic commercial floristry techniques and designs. Either for personal development or as first steps to employment in the floristry industry.
What will I study?
Autumn Term - a range of standard sympathy designs and seasonal (Christmas) designs.
Spring term - focuses on weddings accessory designs e.g buttonholes, corsages, headdresses.
Summer term - create and design a range of commercial gift work, flowers arrangements and hand ties.
How will this course be delivered?
This course is very practically based with very little written work. It is anticipated that you would create a design most weeks.
What qualifications will I get?
Non-externally-certificated non-FE other provision, Horticulture and Forestry SSA (03.2)
How will I be assessed?
This course is for personal development and is informally assessed by the Tutor with self assessment and evaluation by the student.

What are the entry requirements?
Students must be aged 16+.

What else do I need to know?
The tutors are all professional florists. The tutor will inform you on the first session of any tools and equipment that are required. They will also have a list of suppliers where these will be available.
