Health and Safety courses are delivered by Solihull College Employer Services across Birmingham, Warwickshire and the West Midlands
Introduction:
This Certificate has been developed for candidates who wish to increase their knowledge of Health & Safety in the Workplace. The course aims to provide the earner with the understanding of key health and safety legislation and how to maintain health and safety in the workplace.
CIEH, Ofqual accredited health and safety training for the workplace. Health & safety training from Level 1, ideal for those new to the workplace through to level 4 designed for supervisors and managers with health and safety responsibility.
CIEH health and safety training covers all areas of the subject from basic and advanced health and safety training also stress, conflict resolution and personal safety.
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.
The course consists of units covering the following areas:
- Legislation
- Health
- Safety
- Welfare
- The workplace and workplace equipment
- Risk assessment
- Manual handling
- Hazardous substances
- Ergonomics and workstation design
- Transport and vehicles
- Noise and vibration
How is the course assessed?
Candidates will be provided with course material for the programme. The learning materials contain the knowledge needed to meet the assessment requirements of the course and activities allow candidates to practice their skills and test their learning. Candidates will work though the learning material and complete assessments for each unit. Once all units have been completed and passed candidates will complete one multiple choice question paper.
Each candidate will have access to a tutor who will support them throughout the programme.
Attendance
This qualification is completed in the workplace or at home with the exception of the on line exam.
