Where will this course lead?
In this qualification learners will develop their understanding of the functions of foodstuffs and their roles in the body, understand metabolism, how nutrients can be affected by external processes, and rules on food labeling.
What will I study?
Learners will also develop their understanding of what constitutes a balanced diet, healthy eating patterns, how to collect information from the client, advise and give information on weight control, lifestyle changes and nutrition
How will this course be delivered?
The course is mostly theory based in a classroom with practical assessments on case studies with consultation and diet plans formed
What qualifications will I get?
Award in Healthy Eating and Well-being for the Complementary Client (QCF)
How will I be assessed?
Assessments is by assignments, course work and case studies with consultations and dietary advice
How do I get a place on the course?
A successful interview will be required.

What are the entry requirements?
A genuine interest in Healthy eating & wellbeing, willing to treat clients and practising in your own time.

What else do I need to know?
A minimum of 85% attendance is needed to complete the course, however 100% is expected.
Industry related uniform and footwear will be required.

What can I do after this course?
Progression could be to further learning about food, diet and nutrition. There could be progression to other complementary therapies, sports therapy, and foundation or full degrees in complementary/sport therapies.
