Where will this course lead?
This qualification is ideal for novice computer users wishing to prove and improve their computing skills for the benefit of themselves and of future employers. The course will focus on the skills required to help gain employment in an office environment where everyday computing skills are essential.

How will this course be delivered?
You will be taught for twenty weeks in a morning and afternoon session for one day a week. At the end of the twenty weeks you will have a full Level 2 ITQ Award. Level 2 consists of four modules with an exam at the end of each module.
What qualifications will I get?
QCF (ITQ) Level 2 Certificate
How will I be assessed?
At the end of each unit there is an exam, which is preceded by a series of mock tests to prepare for it. There are short exercises, official courseware and open sessions to aid your learning.
How do I get a place on the course?
Places are offered by interview depending on the students motivation and suitability for the course. There is an initial assessment and a reference is preferred.
What are the entry requirements?
No specific qualifications are required, however a basic understanding of office Computing is required and also an Entry Level English skills.
What else do I need to know?
Students must also be prepared to attend one day a week for a morning and afternoon session- which is the minimum time required to complete the qualification. All students will be assigned a personal tutor and have monthly meetings to set targets and discuss performance.

What can I do after this course?
Students will have a qualification that is recognised by the majority of employers for office jobs and administrative work.
Is there anything else I will have to pay for in order to do this course?
Students are advised to purchase a USB memory stick to save work on, which can be found at any supermarket or electrical shop. Students may also find the use of headphones helpful.
