Job Junction is a partnership between Job Centre Plus at Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham International Airport, Pertemp's and Solihull College.

Job Junction is an Employment & Training Partnership that offers an eight-week tailored programme designed to equip jobseekers with the skills needed to gain employment at Birmingham International Airport

Candidates on the programme will receive the following:

• Customer Service
• Communication Skills
• Welcome Host (accredited)
• Confidence Building
• Health & Safety (accredited)
• Security
• First Aid (accredited)
• OCR IT(accredited)
• Manual Handling (accredited)
• Time Management
• Skills for Life

Jobseekers will also attend a one-week bespoke Airport Induction course

Job Junction provides employers with motivated and relevantly trained Jobseekers, accredited training, security cleared and CRC checked candidates, free work trials from candidates taking part in the programme, employment and further training subsidies with some Jobseekers.

The excellent work of Job Junction at Birmingham International Airport has been recognised with the achievement of a national award. The NIACE (National Institute of Adults Continuing Education) Adult Learners week saw Job Junction being awarded the National ESF Opening Doors to Adult Learners Award.

Job Junction is an excellent example of how Solihull College can work with stakeholders and employers to provide bespoke pre-employment training programme to suit the needs of companies and works with the local community to enhance job roles for all.
