This course is ideal for you if
You are in an industry where CAD skills are beneficial.
You wish to attain CAD skills to complement an area of study or interest.
What will I study?
This course gives an introduction to 3D modeling principles.
How will this course be delivered?
The majority of this course involves tutor assisted practical activities in our CAD facility. Access to our Online "Virtual Learning Environment" known as Moodle, will provide additional resources for you to you in and outside of college.
What qualifications will I get?
Vocational study not leading to a recognised qualification, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies (SSA 4)
How will I be assessed?
Practical exercises and an on-line test
How do I get a place on the course?

Enrol now if you have no or little prior experience with Solidworks and know that the industry you are interested in uses Parametric systems such as Solidworks, Inventor, SolidEdge, Pro/Engineer, Catia (particularly in the field of Mechanical Engineering).
If you are unsure you may with to have a telephone interview to clarify your suitability for this level course.
What are the entry requirements?
A willingness to learn and an understanding of drawing

The course allows individuals to work at their own pace and learn best practice in the use of creating 3D CAD models.
