Where will this course lead?
This course is ideal for you if are interested in beginning a career in Health and Social care working with different client groups including ,older people children aged 0-7 years and individuals who have additional needs,

Maths, English and IT will be an important part of your course. You will continue to develop these skills and may work towards a qualification at an appropriate level.
How will this course be delivered?
There will be a mixture of practical and taught sessions. Towards the end of the course you will also complete a work placement in a Health & Care setting such as a Care home for Older People or a Nursery or School.
What qualifications will I get?
BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care (QCF)
How will I be assessed?
To pass this course you will complete a mixture of written assignments , practical assessments and tests for Maths , English and IT.

Successful interview and reference from school
What are the entry requirements?
Minimum qualifications:
2 GCSE's at Grade E or above, a successful interview and a reference.

What else do I need to know?
Before you can complete a placement you will need to complete a Criminal Record Bureau check which costs £45 . London Trip is £15 and a Placement Polo shirt is £10 Total costs £70 *

What can I do after this course?
If you are successful on this course, you will be able to continue studying towards level 2 in Health and Care or gain employment and then return to study as an Apprentice.
