What will I study?
Health and Safety; Client care and communication in Beauty related industries; Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities; Provide Indian Head Massage; Provide Body Massage; Provide stone therapy; Provide pre blended aroma massage; Level 2 Key Skills Maths and English; Level 2 Award in Employment awareness in the Hair and Beauty Sector.
How will this course be delivered?
Practically within college salons, the theory will be delivered within classroom situations.
What qualifications will I get?
NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy (General) (QCF)
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed within the college commercial salons and within your own salon at work. You will have written assignments to pass and end of unit tests to complete and pass.
How do I get a place on the course?
Following a successful interview you will be offered a place.
What are the entry requirements?
To be working in a beauty salon for a minimum of 30 hours per week. To hold a full Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification.
What else do I need to know?
You will be expected to wear full salon uniform when in the college salons.
Solihull College offers full time and part time courses for businesses and residents in Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry Warwickshire and the whole of the West Midlands.
