Where will this course lead?
This course is ideal for you if
You wish to advance existing basic CAD skills.
You wish to learn techniques used to improve efficiency and to corporate standards.
What will I study?
Aimed at students with a basic knowledge of CAD who wish to progress. After 24 weeks the students will be able to use more of the advanced functions and techniques of the AutoCAD software. Creating more detailed drawings to a recognizable Engineering standard.
How will this course be delivered?
The majority of this course involves tutor assisted practical activities in our CAD facility. Access to our Online "Virtual Learning Environment" known as Moodle, will provide additional resources for you to you in and outside of college.
What qualifications will I get?
Vocational study not leading to a recognised qualification, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies (SSA 4)
How will I be assessed?
Practical exercises and an on-line test
How do I get a place on the course?

Enrol now if you have prior experience with AutoCAD and know that the industry you are interested in uses AutoCAD (particularly the Building & Construction Industries).
If you are unsure you may with to have a telephone interview to clarify your suitability for this level course.
What are the entry requirements?
To have attended the introductory course or have a basic knowledge or use of AutoCAD.
What else do I need to know?
The course allows individuals to work at their own pace and learn best practice in the use of creating and modification of 2D CAD models.
