Love is in the air at Solihull College
Solihull College teams up with Solihull Youth Service to host this year’s Valentine’s Fair.
The fair saw the launch of the ‘Is This Love?’ campaign – a Solihull Youth Service initiative aimed at raising young people’s awareness of emotional and physical abuse in relationships.
Hundreds of students visited the event to post heart shaped messages on Cupid’s Message Board and to get relationship advice from the Youth Service experts.
Information and advice on sexual health was also available to students.
Rachel Hopper of Solihull Youth Service comments: “Is This Love? is asking young people to think about what makes a safe and healthy relationship. We’re using Valentine’s day to promote our messages to young people across the borough.”
Laura Pibworth from the College’s Student Liaison team who helped organise the event adds: “This event provides a safe and fun environment for our students to celebrate Valentine’s Day whilst learning more about sexual health and other relationship based issues.”
