Introduction:
In this increasingly competitive age this is a training workshop for almost everyone who works! It is especially useful for anyone who needs to know more about the causes and effects of stress at work for themselves and their colleagues. You may have noticed that the topic of stress is everywhere; in the papers, on television and the radio. You may also have noticed that more people are being subjected to rapid change, uncertainty and lack of control over their working lives.
A large number of working days are being lost each year through stress and if you do not want to add to these statistics then this course will be ideal for you. You will have a much clearer understanding of the nature of stress and how it can affect you, your colleagues and your quality of life.
After attending this course participants will have the ability to:
- define stress
- identify stress in yourself and your colleagues
- explore your common causes of stress, inside and outside work
- explore the difference between useful and harmful pressure at work
- construct a personal action plan which assists in improving life-style and manages stress
There will be a high level of group participation including practical work and group discussion.
