Where will this course lead?
The Master of Arts in Education, which will be delivered at Solihull College by Oxford Brookes tutors is designed for professionals working in education in all phases. It is suitable for experienced teachers, lecturers and educational managers in primary, secondary, further and higher education and for other educational professionals who wish to enhance their professional knowledge and practice.
What will I study?
You will follow a programme of study designed to meet the needs of busy professionals, which will enable you to up-date on recent research and develop your own research skills. The modular programme (9 modules, 180 credits) includes 3 compulsory modules and 4 optional modules. Compulsory modules are: Reflective Professional Development (20 credits); Educational Research (20 credits); Dissertation in your chosen area of interest (60 credits).
Optional modules focus on teaching and learning or leading and managing e.g. leading and managing people in education; innovation in teaching and learning.
How will this course be delivered?
Flexible delivery by Oxford Brookes tutors at Solihull College. This will include blended learning methods and intensive Friday/Saturday sessions.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is based on coursework. This includes a variety of methods such as reports, essays, portfolios, projects, investigative research, seminars and group work.

The programme is designed for students from a wide range of backgrounds, normally graduates with a recognised teaching qualification or other educational professional experience.
