Introduction:
Anyone who needs to negotiate on a regular basis. Successful negotiation and persuasion is an art in which many people would like to be more skilled and practised. This is particularly so in the workplace where they may be faced with having to negotiate with a range of different people in different circumstances - bosses, colleagues, suppliers, employee representatives and others.
This one day course examines the art of negotiation and persuasion and the special skills needed to bring about mutual agreement with others.
After attending this course participants will have the ability to:
- prepare for a negotiation - formal or informal
- enter into negotiations understanding the relevant principles and processes
- understand where power lies in a negotiating situation and proceed accordingly
- use a range of negotiating techniques with confidence
There will be a high level of group participation including practical work and group discussion.
The importance of regular reviews with the individual to follow through with goals and objectives agreed at the interview
