Where will this course lead?
The course is for stylists who wish to gain a qualification that reflects an advanced level of hairdressing in creative and technical skills.
It will also be useful for those who may be seeking to develop their careers in training and supervisory management.
What will I study?
Colour hair using a variety of techniques
Colour correction
Creating a range of image
Creatively dress long hair
Hair analysis and consultation
Planning and implementation of promotional show
Advanced Cutting techniques
Maths and English will be an important part of your course. You will continue to develop these skills and may work towards a qualification at an appropriate level.
How will this course be delivered?
The practical elements of this course will be delivered in the college commercial salons and
the other half of the programme involves assignments, external tests and portfolio building.
What qualifications will I get?
NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF)
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by practical observations, course work, assignments and external tests.
How do I get a place on the course?
A successful interview will be required.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need a level 2 hairdressing qualification

What else do I need to know?
A minimum of 85% attendance Is needed to complete the course however,100% is expected.
