Being a student here at Solihull College you will benefit from using our top of the range facilities to support you with your learning. Below you will find brief details about some of the facilities you can take advantage of.

Technology Focused

We take great pride in the quality of our information technology services and support. Our systems have the latest software applications and Internet access and our specially designed IT and multi-media centres are run by experienced staff and open six days a week, well into the evening.

All our PCs and Apple MAcs are loaded with the latest software applications and have internet access. Every student benefits from a personalised email account and, for those who find the idea of computers daunting, specialist computer training is available to ensure you soon have the essential skills.

A Thirst for Knowledge

Our well stocked libraries at both campuses are bursting at the seams with an extensive collection of up to date and specialist texts, newspapers, magazines, CD ROMs, and DVDs to support all courses run by the College.

In addition, every student has access to the elibrary; an invaluable database of learning resources which are also available from home through the Internet.

Sports, Health and Fitness Complex

There's more to College life than assignments and lectures - you'll need time to relax and socialise too.

If you want to get in shape then the College Sports Health and Fitness Complex on-site at the Blossomfield Campus will be right up your street. It has the latest cardio-vascular and weight-lifting equipment, exercise studios and a great programme of classes. Fully qualified instructors are also on-hand to help with advice on using the equipment or creating an individual exercise programme for you.

Students at our Woodlands Campus can benefit from discounted gym facilities at the nearby North Solihull Leisure Complex.

Hair and Beauty Salons

Bad Hair Day?! - Our high street standard hair and beauty therapy salons are open to all students and the public. They offer a wide range of treatments at surprisingly low prices. Staffed by supervised students, the salons are open at selected times during weekdays and evenings. Salons stock a wide range of professional hair and beauty products. These are available for you to purchase from the salons and you can take advantage of great discounted prices.

Take a break

Both of our campuses have on-site restaurants and our Blossomfield Campus also has a well-stocked baguette bar and student shop.
The Link, at our Blossomfield Campus, is a great place to relax and chat with friends. The Student Liaison Team are based in this social area and provide a selection of games, magazines and information for students.
We also have a dedicated area set aside for our Higher Education students.
At Woodlands Campus there are sofas in the refectory and atrium where you can relax and benches around the playing field.

Both campuses have on-site restaurants and our Blossomfield Campus also has a well-stocked baguette bar and student shop.
