What will I study?

You will become familiar with a wide variety of techniques and approaches, improve your self-awareness, and be exposed to a diverse range of managerial concepts, challenges and contexts. By the time you have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Management Online you will have a broad base of practical skills that will enable you to be an effective, productive manager anywhere in the world. You will study four modules: Academic Study Methods, Managing Customers and Quality, Managing Finance and Information and Managing People and Organisations.

How will this course be delivered?

This Postgraduate Certificate in Management (CM) Online (Blended learning) allows you to complete your certificate virtually, through Solihull College Virtual Learning Environment in addition to periodic contact time scheduled for support.

How will I be assessed?

On-line activities contributing to your module grade, in addition to assessments in the form of report and or essays. There are no exams.

How do I get a place on the course?

Thank you for choosing to apply to the Postgraduate Certificate of Management Online at Solihull College. You are about to be redirected to UKPASS, an online application service for postgraduate and MBA programmes. All applications for Oxford Brookes University awarded postgraduate and MBA programmes must be made through UKPASS.

When you enter UKPASS you will be asked to register a username and password, if you haven't already registered. Once you have done this you will be able to log on and will then be directed to the online application for the programme you have selected to apply for. You then need to complete the information requested and submit the application through UKPASS. We will be in touch with you shortly after we receive your application.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants will normally be managers or administrators with three years' work experience, or graduates with at least one year of work experience, aspiring to an administrative or professional managerial position. If your first language is not English, you must have one of the following, or equivalent: British Council IELTS: normally 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in reading and writing; TOEFL score of 575 paper-based (233 computer-based or 90 internet-based) or above.

Students need to possess suitable references.

The online CM offers a range of possibilities for further development onto other programmes, including the Global MBA with Oxford Brookes University, which can also be completed without having to apply for a student visa, the Full-time MBA with Oxford Brookes University or the Diploma in Management and Leadership at Solihull College (DML) on the condition that you are a UK or EU resident.
