Introduction:
This course is suitable for everyone who deals with internal or external customers including secretaries, receptionists and telephonists who greet and receive guests, visitors and colleagues on behalf of their organisation.
The receptionist is the person in the front-line - the person who will create that vital first impression of a business.
Communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, visitors and potential employees in varied and sometimes difficult situations requires special qualities which can be identified, developed and improved through training.
On this one day programme you will examine and practise the skills which are crucial to the role and gain confidence in yourself and your ability to enhance the image of your company.
Solihull College has successfully delivered the professional receptionist skills training course across Birmingham, the West Midlands and Warwickshire.
After attending this course participants will have the ability to:
- recognise the importance of the receptionist role
- identify the whole spectrum of skills and qualities needed to perform the role effectively - be aware of the total image and appreciate your responsibility to enhance internal and external customer relationships.
- understand the importance of behaviour and the effect it has
- communicate confidently and effectively with individuals at all levels in different circumstances
- manage your own environment effectively
There will be a high level of group participation including practical work and group discussion.

- Forum theatre
