The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM)
The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) is the leading international body for sales and marketing training. It works to enhance the prestige of sales as a career, and improve the skills of its members. The ISMM is also responsible for establishing benchmarks of professionalism in sales. It is the only membership body accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) to award nationally recognised qualifications in selling and sales management.

ISMM Level 3 student
For the past six years Calor has been working in partnership with Solihull College to upskill their sales teams via their Sales Academy.
Following a recommendation by my manager I decided to study both the ISMM Level 2 and Level 3 at the College.
“Both courses allowed me to apply the theory taught within the course to my job, something not supplied during my stint in fulltime education. Juggling both a full-time job and coursework was a challenge but it was manageable and gave me a great sense of achievement.
“I graduated from Salford University with a Degree in Business and Finance with Marketing. I worked in the financial sector for a short while before joining Calor in 2004 on a graduate scheme. I moved from my first role as a bulk salesman onto a national role in the appliance department before settling into national accounts as a sales professional.
“Five months ago I was promoted to National Account Manager looking after national forecourt operators such as Morrisons and DIY multiples B&Q and Focus. Looking ahead, I would welcome the opportunity to continue further up the ISMM chain and complete the Diploma in order to keep progressing through the Calor hierarchy. “I would certainly recommend Solihull College, it’s a great place to learn and gain professional qualifications.
