We recently hosted our annual Jobs Fair, where we welcomed hundreds of jobseekers from the surrounding communities and offered them the chance to find out about employment opportunities throughout the region.
Employers from a range of industries including insurance, legal, hospitality, leisure, music, retail and social care were also on hand to offer advice on the various vacancies on offer.
The Fair was the first public event to be held at the College’s brand new Management and Conference Centre which has been completed as part of the Blossomfield Campus £31million redevelopment project. Radio WM was also in attendance, providing a live radio link from the fair.
Paul Leahy, Business Sales Manager who lead the days events says:
“The event was a great way to promote the various career paths and opportunities to as many people as possible. We had a host of great employers in attendance who we'd like to thank for their involvement"
Paul Griffiths, Director of Business Development for Aspire Health & Fitness agreed that the event was a successful tool in promoting current vacancies to potential job seekers. He comments:
"We found Solihull College’s jobs fair a very useful way of meeting potential recruits and we will endeavour to attend future events. The facilities were excellent and we look forward to developing our relationship with them going forwards."
