Solihull College scoops TQS
Solihull College becomes one of only two training providers in the country to achieve the prestigious TQS status for Health and Social Care.
The TQS (Training Quality Standard) recognises and celebrates organisations that deliver high quality, high impact training to employers.
This award focuses on sector expertise and recognises the College’s detailed understanding of the Health and Social Care industry and how well it meets the needs of employers within it. It’s one of the highest training accolades available.
Manchester College is the only other training provider in the country to hold the status for Health and Social Care provision.
Head of School for Health and Social Care at Solihull College Madelyn Green is delighted with the achievement: “It’s great that the hard work of the team has paid off and our dedication to the industry has been recognised. The fact that there is only one other provider in the country that has been given this prestigious award is a real coup for us.”
The College also holds TQS for its delivery of Retail training. This recognised the College’s work with local and regional retailers in particular those within Touchwood and Bullring shopping centres.
College Principal Brenda Sheils adds: “Our priority is listening and responding to the needs of business communities and developing specialist, industry specific training opportunities for employers and employees across the region. These prestigious nationally recognised awards mean we have, once again, received recognition for our contribution to the economic development of the West Midlands.”
