Solihull College seeks football stars of the future
Solihull College is inviting budding footballers to try out for its popular Football Development Scheme.
On 1st and 2nd June, the College will be holding trials for 16-19 year olds to showcase their fancy footwork and impress the College’s football team. Those who are successful will be given the opportunity to enrol onto the Development Scheme and start the programme this September.
The scheme provides young footballers with an opportunity to combine an academic qualification with a high-quality coaching programme and in the past, has seen students go on to play for top clubs such as Walsall and Reading.
The programme is run by College tutor and former professional footballer Mickey Moore. He comments: “ This is a fantastic opportunity for talented young footballers in the region, we hope to see a good turn out.”
Booking is essential and the College is asking those interested to register for a trial by no later than Monday 24th May by calling the Admissions Team on 0121 678 7000.
