Help with learning - The Learning Centres
At Solihull College we recognise every student has their own learning style and pace. For instance, some students may need extra help with essay writing, revision or mathematics. Our course teams can help you to develop the skills needed to succeed on your chosen course.

Additional Support
Solihull College provides opportunities for students across all subject areas in an inclusive learning environment. The College welcomes applications from people with additional needs. If you are disabled or have any special needs, then our team of support staff is here to help you. When you have accepted your offer from us we will invite you to attend a transition planning meeting and will ensure that you are familiar with the college before you begin your course.

Personal Tutors
You will be assigned a Personal Tutor as soon as you enrol on your course, to provide support, advice, guidance and information during your time at Solihull College.
You will meet regularly with your Tutor for individual tutorial sessions - to devise a learning plan to help with your progress and to identify any areas you need to focus on.
Careers Team
The careers team are here to help with planning for your future. The team have excellent links with Industry and will be more than happy to help you secure work experience or career placements.
They can provide assistance with writing your CV, brushing up ion interview techniques or simply help you decide on the career that is right for you.
The Careers Centre is open between 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 4pm on Fridays.
Counselling Team and College Nurse
The college offers free and confidential counselling to all students on an individual or group basis. All staff are professionally trained and experienced
The College also employs a dedicated nurse, who is available at certain times throughout the year, for any health issues you may require advice for.
Confidential appointments for both the counsellor and nurse can be booked through the main student reception at the Blossomfield Campus or through your Personal Tutor.
