Solihull College has achieved the prestigious Training Quality Standard (TQS).
The national award recognises the College's commitment to delivering quality training and development solutions for employers.
The industry accolade follows the presentation, in October, of two UK National Training Awards to Solihull College for supplying quality and innovative training.
Employers across the UK can get flexible, bespoke and relevant training for their employees at Solihull College. The College’s Employer Services is one of the leading employee training providers and offers a range of professional programmes to suit every need. Hundreds of employers around Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Warwickshire and Wolverhampton are already benefiting from the College’s outstanding service.
Solihull College has been recognised for its ability to focus on employee investment which develops workforce skills by designing and delivering employer led training programmes in response to an organisation's specific needs.
A range of local and regional businesses have already benefited from the College's input - with evidence that performance has been improved, labour turnover reduced and an increase in profits.
Principal, Brenda Sheils, said:
"I am very proud of the way in which the College is supporting employers, from small companies through to large private and public sector organisations. This award recognises our commitment to always providing the best."
Senior Director for Workforce Development, Carrie Smith; said:
"We are thrilled and very proud that Solihull College has achieved the TQS.
"Employer Engagement is central to the College's strategy and offer. We maintain a consistent approach across all our employer provision."
Paul Leahy, Business Sales Manager for Employer Services at Solihull College said:
"This is a tremendous achievement which reflects the hard work and dedication shown by our staff."
"The Training Quality Standard certification system was designed to recognise and celebrate organisations which deliver the best training and development solutions to employers."
In addition to achieving TQS for the whole College, specific recognition has also been given to its Retail training programmes.
The College has earned a enviable reputation across the country for its innovative work with major retailers and centres including the Bullring, Touchwood and Merryhill, supporting established names likes John Lewis, H&M and Debenhams.
