What’s the big idea?
College event gives small businesses in Solihull a big boost.
The ‘Big Ideas for Small Businesses’ seminar – hosted by Solihull College in partnership with the Solihull based Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), saw employers and entrepreneurs from across the borough come together for advice on a range of business related-issues.
From law and legislation to apprenticeships and accounts, help was on hand for those looking to start their own business and to companies wanting to expand.
The event took place at the historic Tudor Grange House based at the Blossomfield Campus and was led by the College’s Employer Services Team.
Ian O’Donnell, Chairman of the Solihull FSB has hailed the event a success: “The Big ideas for small businesses event was a great way to promote a range of services tothe business community in one place at one time. The FSB is really pleased to be working in conjunction with Solihull College to ensure that businesses hear about the opportunities that are available to them locally and the support networks that they can tap into.”
Paul Leahy of the College’s Employer Services Team adds: “The success of this event was based on making sure that the right opportunities were available to our local business community. The College has an intrinsic link to all local key stakeholders and we’re proud of the strong business growth opportunities that we offer.”
