Where will this course lead?

This programme is suitable for students who wish to develop practical and related skills working in a construction environment. It is specifically designed for experienced workers to demonstrate occupational competence in their trade area, in this instance, plastering.

What will I study?

During the course, you will:

- Conform to general workplace safety
- Conform to efficient work practices
- Move & handle resources

You will also be required to work towards units specific to the different qualifications.

How will this course be delivered?

You will mainly work on site obtaining practical based experience, coming in to College once or twice a week to study.

What qualifications will I get?

NVQ Level 2, Technical Certificate in Plastering

(Key Skills - Application of Number, Communication)

How will I be assessed?

During the course the candidate must successfully complete a series of tasks that demonstrate their competency.

A portfolio of evidence is generated to prove this.

How do I get a place on the course?

You will need to apply online and pass an interview.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal qualifications but you must be in employment to do the apprenticeship.

What else do I need to know?

Any additional clothing or equipment will need to be paid for.

What can I do after this course?

Completion of this apprenticeship will open up career opportunities to study further at a higher level, or go in to full time employment.
