When you have accepted your offer from us we will invite you to attend a transition planning meeting and will ensure that you are familiar with the college before you begin your course.

The Enrichment Team are here to make your time outside of lessons, fun, exciting, interesting and informative. All throughout the year, our student liaison officers organise trips, excursions, events, volunteering, themed events and a varied, engaging range of great activities, ensuring your time with us isn’t all work and no play.
We support Learner Voice which gives you, the student, the opportunity to tell us how your time at college is going, what we are doing well and what you would like to see improved. We also hold elections for School Representatives and Governors, giving our students a say in matters regarding school funding and quality of education.

The Welfare Service can provide information on a variety of topics with the aim of offering intensive and practical support. This early intervention approach can help offer you an active solution to enable you to remain on course and achieve.

The Mental Health Support Worker provides support, advice and guidance to prospective and current students of Solihull College and University centre. If you are experiencing a mental health difficulty, emotional or psychological distress, our Mental Health Support Worker can help you to identify your specific needs, provide practical support, and help you develop coping strategies. During the period of support, the Mental Health Support Worker may also work alongside Student Services as well as Teaching and Learning Teams and can assist you in accessing external mental health and wellbeing services.
You can access your Mental Health Support Worker, Fathima Ashraff-Ali via Student Services. A member of staff will help you complete a Referral Form for Mental Health Support and book you in for an Initial Appointment with Fathima. Please visit Student Services at Blossomfield and Woodlands Campus between 08:30-17:00 (Mon-Thurs) and 08:30- 16:30 (Fri).
