The School of Science at Solihull College & University Centre has recently received a total remodelling of the classrooms and laboratory areas. All students in the School of Science benefit from our newly refurbished science laboratories and brand new laboratory equipment. With over £1 million invested in the facilities in the curriculum area since 2015, the School of Science at Solihull College & University Centre is unrivalled in the sector. These state-of-the-art facilities provide the ideal environment for ambitious and motivated scientists of the future to develop a high degree of technical competence in laboratory practice.
We offer programmes of study for 16-19 year old learners which provide the perfect blend between the development of academic and practical laboratory skills and provide the opportunities to gain GCSEs in Mathematics and English where necessary.
Our University Level courses include the Foundation Degree in Applied Biosciences which has been developed to provide students with the skills required to fill roles in NHS laboratories.
Our Adult courses include a day-time Access to Higher Education Diploma in Science designed to help adult learners gain places in University Level Education and evening courses in GCSE and A-Level Biology.
