Where will this course lead?

This course is ideal for beginners and those with experience who wish to extend their skills further. The art of beautiful handwriting writing is mainly aimed at those wishing to use the skills for themselves but may also lead to self-employment in the Craft and Design industry.

What will I study?

This course will cover different hands/scripts - advice will be given about the best script for you

- Italic

- Foundation

- Uncial

- Gothic

- Presentation and ornamentation of the work

- Calligraphy tools and equipment

- Using different watercolour media to enhance your work

- Writing with different types of pens

How will this course be delivered?

The course is practically based and is designed so that students are enabled to work on individual projects. The delivery is lead by tutor demonstration.

This is a personal development course.

What else do I need to know?

The tutor will inform you on the first session of any tools and equipment that are required. They will also have a list of suppliers, both retail and online, where these will be available.

Please note: Materials are not supplied for Cakes, flowers/floristry, Textiles, Soft furnishings, Stained glass, Homemade Crafts, Calligraphy, Art, Cookery, Tiling, painting & Decorating, patchwork & Quilting, Sewing or Dressmaking.
